Software Trainings for ZEN

Join the free Online Sessions in July

Continuous training is the key when it comes to efficient use of your microscope. That is why ZEISS is again offering free online training for the ZEN imaging software.

In July 2023, you can choose from three different online sessions: from imaging basics for confocal and widefield to multidimensional acquisition and image analysis.

ZEISS trainers guide you step-by-step through the processes and you can apply the knowledge directly in your daily work. The training sessions are live and are shown directly on the ZEISS systems.
Each session lasts 90 minutes, including a live Q&A session. No prerequisites are required.
Please register for each session individually. It is not possible to register for all sessions collectively. Each training session will be recorded.

We look forward to your participation.

Webinar Jul 6, 2023 Gert Sonntag

Gert has been a sales and application specialist at ZEISS since 2001. As an expert in 3D imaging, Gert supports Key account customers in Germany and South Eastern Europe. In recent years, he established numerous workshops in our demo centers and also in the customer environment.

Webinar Jul 6, 2023 Frank Vogler

Frank joined ZEISS in 2018 as an Application Specialist for automated and confocal imaging at the ZEISS Customer Center imaging facility in Oberkochen and became Sales Team Manager in 2021. In his PhD and PostDoc at the University of Regensburg he studied cell polarity establishment and polarized tip growth using molecular biology, biochemistry and quantitative live cell imaging techniques.

Webinar Jul 13, 2023 Mirjam Geibel

Mirjam Geibel joined ZEISS in 2022 as an Application Specialist for confocal imaging at the ZEISS Customer Center imaging facility in Oberkochen, Germany. During her PhD and Postdoc at the EMBL, in Edinburgh and the LMU Munich she studied neurotrophin regulation of the neuroendocrine system and circadian regulation of the stress response.

Webinar Jul 20, 2023 Phillip Holroyd

Phillip’s love affair with microscopy started 18 years ago when beginning his doctoral thesis. He set out to investigate the biochemistry of exocytosis in neuroendocrine cells in a novel in vitro imaging assay. After a period collaborating with Stefan Hell’s group, Phillip decided to leave research for a sales job with TILL Photonics. TILL Photonics expanded its product range to include TIRF, FRET, FRAP and spinning disk solutions. In 2011 Phillip joined ZEISS as a Product Manager at our Munich location. Currently, he is responsible for the ZEN software platform, with a special focus on the acquisition functions and modules.

Webinar Jul 20, 2023 Oliver Tress

Oliver Tress is Business Developer for Software at ZEISS Microscopy. Prior to joining ZEISS, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California San Diego, exploring the role of miRNAs in spinal axon regeneration. Before moving to the United States, Oliver was a research scientist at the Institute for Anatomy in Bonn. Oliver used a variety of confocal, widefield and light sheet instruments throughout his studies and has extensive experience with a wide range of imaging and tissue clearing techniques.
