Abstract

ZEISS Microscopy Solutions for Industrial Research Polymers and Chemicals

This webinar gives a comprehensive overview of microscopy applications for the analysis of industrial polymers and chemicals. This review covers applications in light microscopy, low kV scanning electron microscopy as well as helium ion microscopy. The combination of these techniques with analytical capabilities such as confocal Raman spectroscopy and in-situ microscopy are demonstrated showing the synergistic benefit of correlation. Secondary ion mass spectrometry in the chemicals industry is demonstrated with an example of the analysis of nanoparticles. Finally, a case study from ZEISS Vision is presented describing how multiscale, multimodal microscopy is used within ZEISS to ensure the quality of spectacle lenses.
