News and Views on Technologies for Imaging in Plant Sciences

ZEISS technology and application workshop

ZEISS Forum, Carl-Zeiss-Straße 22, 73447 Oberkochen

Learn more about ZEISS systems & software dedicated to plant research

Microscopic imaging of plant specimen often requires special conditions, e.g. plants sense gravity and react accordingly. Therefore it is highly desired to image roots or seedlings in their natural situation for artefact free results. Furthermore in fluorescence imaging the strong autofluorescence often overlaps with specific dyes and blures the signal dramatically.
In this workshop we introduce and discuss a selection of technologies and products which can be very beneficial in modern life sciences focusing on plant research.

We are looking forward to welcoming you on October, 16th at our demo facilities in Oberkochen. Please register soon because seats are limited for this event.

Key Learnings

  • Learn the benefits of X-ray microscopy for 3D imaging
  • See how different technologies to create Optical Sections can clear up your samples in fluorescence imaging
  • Discover how EM block-face imaging can generate 3D volumes for 3D visualisation & analysis
  • Experience the use of modern imaging software for 3D imaging & analysis
  • Get an overview of technologies, special customer solutions & imaging products well suited for plant research
