Abstract

Microscopy for Battery Research: Electrodes

Batteries are devices composed of multiple materials with features spanning many orders of magnitude. With applications ranging from mobile devices to automobiles and grid-scale storage, battery performance is critical in many areas of our everyday lives. The electrode assembly is at the heart of battery construction and operation, and its microstructure heavily influences both the performance and ageing characteristics of the device. In this webinar we dive into how battery electrodes can be characterized with state of the art microscopy solutions to provide fundamental insights into electrode research and development.
