Workshop Overview
Growing out of developments at the synchrotron, lab-based X-ray microscopy (XRM) has become a staple technique for 3D nano- and micro-scale characterization.
Complimenting other imaging modalities like optical and electron microscopy, XRM uniquely offers the ability to obtain nondestructive 3D microstructural maps from within the interior of samples relevant to materials research, geoscience, life science, and semiconductors. This “X-ray vision” provides critical multiscale insights to understand features spanning from sub-micron to tens of cm’s.
Join this free workshop to:
- Gain a brief introduction into the 3D XRM technology
- See examples of scientific data representing diverse research fields
- Understand the capability available locally with the ZEISS Versa XRM in the SNSF, including the recent addition of high resolution in situ experiments
- Engage in Q&A to explore the applicability of XRM to your particular research challenges
